Chubb Fire & Security is currently recruiting a Technical Assistant to be based around the Cork area and will be supporting our team of Fire Engineers.

The main goal of this role is to support our Fire Engineers in the field and for you to gain valuable experience within Fire Engineering (full training provided).

SALARY: €33,750  + Overtime

What You Will Be Doing as a Technical Assistant

This is a busy and varied position where you will support our Fire Engineering team across Cork, with full training provided – no experience needed. In this role you will;

  • Support EH&S (environmental health and safety) efforts of the Company and understand and comply with all EH&S Policies.
  • Correct unsafe conditions, when possible, and refer unsafe situations to supervision for further action when the condition cannot be easily corrected.
  • Report all occupational injuries, illnesses, environment spills or fire, regardless of severity, to management immediately.
  • Report hazards which may result in an injury, illness, spill or fire to supervision.
  • Assist service engineer with daily service & maintenance calls and other duties including,
  • (Panel Testing, Fault finding, Output Testing, Verification of Panel descriptions.)
  • 2-way communication with service engineer.
  • Keep work area neat and tidy.
  • Adherence to documentation accuracy (Timesheets and company documents)

Working Hours: Monday – Friday 39hrs per week (Mon-Thurs 8.30am-5pm, Friday 8.30am -4.30pm)

  • Physical ability to perform all requirements of the job
  • Attention to detail
  • Good people and communication skills
  • No previous electrical experience is necessary but would be advantageous.
  • MUST have full driving Licence and have own vehicle
