We’re looking to add an experienced Quantity Surveyor to our team here at Chubb, to work on Hinkley Point C and other projects. A southern based role, this is a key hire for us and as such we’re looking for a QS from a M&E or Civils background. A remote role, this role will have sporadic travel to site.

SALARY:  Upto £56250 (DoE)+ Bonus

Responsibilities:

  • Administration of the Main Contract(s) including assisting with Project Control information,
  • Change Management and Cash collection
  • Administration of the Subcontract Agreements holistically under the portfolio, including
  • execution of the project subcontract strategy
  • Provide advisory service regarding various standard forms of agreement (including JCT, NEC

Project Management:

  • Working with the Project Manager to identify early warnings within the Subcontract environment
  • Assisting in the administration of Instructions and the like.
  • Assisting with preparation of accurate project control information to evaluate progress against the agreed construction programme

Project Accounting:

  • Periodic Cost Value Reconciliation(s)
  • Periodic Cash Flow Forecasting and monitoring
  • Monitoring of budget against expenditure and reporting on variances
  • Valuing Change
  • Valuing Claims

Qualifications/ Experience:

  • Experience in business processes with a “hands-on” approach, sharing and enacting best
  • practice
  • Experience of Quantifying works in accordance with Standard Measurement Rules
  • Experience in the Administration of Contracts in both Client and Subcontract
  • Experience in influencing and management of confrontational and difficult situations in a professional manner
