This is a hybrid position w based out of our Group HQ in Staines but must have global mobility and a such we are open to candidates across the UK and Europe

SALARY:  Up to £70K per annum (negotiable depending on experience)

What you'll be doing as Head of Business Continuity & Operational Risk Management

Reporting to the Group Director, Quality & EHS, this role will see you supporting the delivery of an effective enterprise-wide risk management framework across the APi International Group.

You will help to ensure that the risk management framework is robust in identifying, measuring and mitigating risks. You will provide subject matter expertise, support and challenge in the management of operational risk and business continuity planning across the Group.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Develop, deliver and manage the Group's Business Continuity Preparedness: Continuity Risks, Incident Reporting & Management, Crisis Management, Business Recovery and Travel Safety
  • Provide Business Continuity expertise to our business operations & functions, Nationally & Internationally, on strategic/operational risks and threats
  • Develop and deliver a Group Business Continuity Strategy & Policy in line with significant Threat, Risk & Organizational changes.
  • Lead the development and maintenance of Group Enterprise and Operational Risk Appetite, Framework, Policy, processes and practices that meet relevant legislation and regulatory requirements and represent best practice.
  • Drive and deliver risk insight reporting based on analysis of internal and external risk data and insights to identify risk themes, trends and opportunities to further improve the control environment in line with risk appetite.
  • Collaborate with Principal Risk owners to ensure adequate oversight of Operational risks in line with policy and framework.

What we would like you to bring to the role:

We are looking for a dynamic individual with the ability to work across a broad network of Business Operations across a global footprint.

You will have:

  • Experience implementing and running Enterprise, and / or Operational Risk within a comparable global corporate business A bachelor's or equivalent degree as well as advanced qualifications in the area of leadership theory preferred
  • Experience of implementing business continuity plans across large corporate organisations.
  • In-depth knowledge of Operational and Enterprise Risk Frameworks 
  • In-depth understanding of all aspects of Business Continuity (Good Practice Guidelines & ISO22301)
  • Experience of leading and implementing strategic initiatives, whilst engaging with senior stakeholders
  • Ability to prioritize business-critical activities in crisis situations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for liaising with non-technical stakeholders
  • Desirably, professional certifications in business continuity (e.g., CBCP, CBCI
