We are looking for an Fire Estimator based in our Sydney office and supporting our Major Projects fire business across New South Wales.

About the Role

The role will be responsible for supplying tenders/quotations in accordance with our high standards of quality and delivery excellence, as well as delivering said projects. 

The successful candidate will be required to exceed customer service expectations at every available opportunity and maximise opportunities with existing customers. This will be achieved through efficient and timely delivery of minor works quotes derived from client requests, Bid Contender, Estimate One and Tender pages from the local newspaper. 

Key responsibilities of the role:

  • Maximising sales opportunities and conversion ratios with existing customers through efficient and timely delivery of quotes. 
  • Maintaining end to end process, including initial client contact, quote initiation, tender submissions and follow-up contact to close out 
  • Being able to read and interpret tender drawings and consultant/architect specifications.
  • Establishing relationships and obtaining quotations on an as needed basis from subcontractors to provide required services.
  • Preparing and distributing quotation letters to customers, following up to confirm delivery and receipt
  • Project handover to the project management team.

About You

Fire background will be an advantage. As a key member of the Sales team, you should have a strong background in customer service supported by:

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written 
  • Ability to multitask and prioritise 
  • Strong computing skills, including MS word, Excel and Outlook 
  • CRM experience
  • A sound knowledge of the applicable Australian Standards relevant to Fixed Systems fire protection equipment (AS1670.1 AS2118 preferred)
  • Australian or New Zealand Citizenship or Permanent Resident (PR).
  • Current Australian Drivers Licence.
