We are seeking detail-oriented and analytical Reconciliation Officers to strengthen our accounting team. The successful candidates will be responsible for ensuring accuracy in financial records by reconciling accounts and proactively resolving discrepancies. This role requires strong analytical skills and a thorough understanding of accounting principles.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform monthly reconciliation of general ledger accounts, and bank accounts.
• Perform monthly reconciliations of general ledger accounts and bank accounts to ensure accuracy and integrity.
• Prepare IPE (Information Provided by the Entity) documentation in compliance with SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley) requirements.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial records, ensuring timely follow-up and resolution.
• Maintain accurate reconciliations and related documentation for audit and compliance purposes.
• Collaborate with other departments within MCHM to investigate and resolve account issues.
• Assist with the development and improvement of reconciliation processes and controls.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline (or working towards qualification).
• Previous experience in account reconciliation, audit, or general accounting is preferred.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and internal controls.
• Proficient in ERP (JD Edwards), Microsoft Excel; experience with accounting and ERP systems is an advantage.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
