Reporting to the Project Engineering Manager, you will take technical ownership of the delivery of electronic security installations \u2014 including CCTV, Access Control, Intruder Alarm, and Integrated Security Solutions \u2014 from mobilisation through to commissioning and handover.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p style=\"color:!important\">We have opportunities covering Guilford, Farnborough and Reading. Working closely with Project and Programme Managers, you will ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality and compliance standards<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size:inherit\">Take technical ownership of assigned security projects from mobilisation through commissioning, testing, and handover.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size:inherit\">Review and interpret project designs, specifications, and scopes of work, resolving technical queries with designers and clients.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size:inherit\">Plan, coordinate, and supervise the installation and commissioning activities of engineers and subcontractors on site.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size:inherit\">Ensure works are delivered in line with company installation standards, manufacturer requirements, and relevant industry standards.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size:inherit\">Commission and configure CCTV, Access Control, Intruder Alarm, and Integrated Security Systems, and lead fault diagnosis and resolution.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size:inherit\">Support Project and Programme Managers with programme, resource, and materials planning to keep projects on time and within budget.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size:inherit\">Produce and maintain accurate technical documentation, including installation records, test sheets, as-built drawings, and O&amp;M manuals.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size:inherit\">Act as a technical point of contact for clients, consultants, and internal teams, communicating progress and issues clearly.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size:inherit\">Champion Health &amp; Safety by preparing\/reviewing RAMS, enforcing site rules, and promoting safe working practices at all times.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size:inherit\">Carry out quality inspections and snagging, ensuring works meet the required standard before handover.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size:inherit\">Mentor and provide technical guidance to Security Engineers and Trainee Engineers.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size:inherit\">Manage tools, test equipment, and company property, ensuring they are maintained and calibrated where required.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size:inherit\">Travel to customer sites as required to support delivery and resolve technical issues.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size:inherit\">Continuously develop technical knowledge and contribute to improving installation processes and best practice.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"color:!important\"><b><span style=\"font-size:inherit\">What We Would Like You To Bring<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p style=\"color:!important\"><b><span style=\"font-size:inherit\">Essential:<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size:inherit\">Proven experience in the installation and commissioning of electronic security systems (CCTV, Access Control, Intruder Alarm, or Integrated Security).<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size:inherit\">Strong working knowledge of electrical and electronic principles and relevant industry standards.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size:inherit\">Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and scopes of work.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size:inherit\">Experience coordinating engineers and\/or subcontractors on site.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size:inherit\">Strong fault-finding, problem-solving, and commissioning skills.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size:inherit\">Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise confidently with clients and colleagues.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size:inherit\">Full UK Driving Licence.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size:inherit\">Ability to work at customer sites and travel as required.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size:inherit\">SC Clearance or agreement to be screened to this level.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"color:!important\"><b><span style=\"font-size:inherit\">Desirable:<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size:inherit\">Relevant qualification in Electrical, Electronic, Engineering, or Technical Studies.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size:inherit\">Manufacturer\/product accreditations (e.g. Genetec, Lenel, Gallagher, Milestone, or similar).<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size:inherit\">ECS Card or willingness to obtain one.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size:inherit\">Experience delivering projects within a regulated or high-security environment.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size:inherit\">Knowledge of relevant standards and codes of practice (e.g. BS EN, NSI\/SSAIB).<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><\/p>\n<p style=\"color:!important\">If this sounds like you, apply today and send us your application!<\/p>\n<p style=\"color:!important\"><i><span style=\"font-size:inherit\">Chubb Fire and Security is an equal opportunities employer.
