Electronic Security Technician<\/b><\/span><\/h1>\n

Location:<\/b> Mt Wellington, Auckland
Hours:<\/b> Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, worked between 7:00 am and 5:00 pm<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n


Additional requirements:<\/b> Travel to customer sites, overtime and participation in an on-call roster as required<\/span><\/p>\n

The Role<\/b><\/span><\/h2>\n

Reporting to the Project \/ Service Manager, you\u2019ll service, maintain, test and troubleshoot electronic security systems across a range of commercial and enterprise customer sites.<\/span><\/p>\n

You\u2019ll work with:<\/span><\/p>\n

    \n
  • Intruder alarm and security systems<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Enterprise access control systems<\/span><\/li>\n
  • CCTV and video management platforms<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Intercom systems<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Integrated electronic security solutions<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Compliance testing and commissioning<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Minor installations, upgrades and remedial works<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    <\/p>\n

    Experience or certification in Gallagher, Inner Range Integriti, ICT Protege, Milestone or Avigilon<\/b> will be highly regarded.<\/span><\/p>\n

    <\/p>\n

    What You\u2019ll Do<\/b><\/span><\/h2>\n
      \n
    • Service, maintain and fault-find electronic security systems<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Complete minor installations, system upgrades and commissioning<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Diagnose and resolve faults across complex, integrated systems<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Complete compliance testing in line with relevant standards<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Produce clear, accurate service reports and technical documentation<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Plan and manage your workload to meet customer commitments<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Work closely with technicians, project teams and subcontractors<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Communicate clearly with customers and internal stakeholders<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Provide professional, customer-first service at every site<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Work safely and follow all health, safety and customer-site requirements<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      <\/p>\n

      What You\u2019ll Bring<\/b><\/span><\/h2>\n
        \n
      • Proven electronic security experience, ideally within commercial or enterprise environments<\/span><\/li>\n
      • A current Certificate of Approval (COA)<\/b><\/span><\/li>\n
      • A current full New Zealand driver licence<\/span><\/li>\n
      • Relevant trade or technical qualifications<\/span><\/li>\n
      • Strong technical fault-finding and problem-solving skills<\/span><\/li>\n
      • Experience working with integrated electronic security systems<\/span><\/li>\n
      • Working knowledge of New Zealand standards and compliance requirements<\/span><\/li>\n
      • Strong job-planning and time-management skills<\/span><\/li>\n
      • Clear and professional written reporting skills<\/span><\/li>\n
      • Confidence using mobile field-service applications<\/span><\/li>\n
      • The ability to work independently and as part of a wider team<\/span><\/li>\n
      • A practical, safety-focused and customer-first approach<\/span><\/li>\n
      • Working at Heights and EWP certification would be advantageous<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
