About the Role<\/b><\/h2>\n

Based in\u00a0Auckland\u00a0and reporting to the\u00a0General Manager \u2013 Northern Region, this is a high-impact opportunity to lead the\u00a0national Lock & Safe operation. You\u2019ll take ownership of the operating rhythm that protects people and property while lifting\u00a0customer experience, productivity, and profitability.<\/p>\n

This is a hands-on, commercially focused leadership role where you\u2019ll\u00a0drive strategy execution and P&L performance, build a strong national team culture, and ensure consistent, high-quality service delivery across every region. While the scope is\u00a0national, the role also has a strong connection to the\u00a0Northern Region\u00a0and its customers, teams, and operational priorities.<\/p>\n

Key Responsibilities<\/b><\/h2>\n
    \n
  • \n

    People Operations:<\/b>\u00a0Lead and mentor supervisors, technicians, and subcontractors nationally; performance management, engagement actions, training matrices, capability uplift, and workforce planning (including on-call coverage).<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  • \n

    Drive P&L<\/b>:\u00a0Own budgeting, forecasting, cost control, margin protection, revenue growth, and corrective actions to deliver targets.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  • \n

    Drive Strategy:<\/b>\u00a0Translate business strategy into national operating plans, standard work, and measurable initiatives (quality, productivity, growth, paperless\/waste reduction).<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  • \n

    High-End Customer Management:<\/b>\u00a0Build and maintain executive-level relationships with key\/major customers; resolve escalations; ensure contract compliance, variation capture, and billing for scope changes.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  • \n

    Operational Excellence & Time Management<\/b>:\u00a0Optimise scheduling\/dispatch support, route planning, job closure discipline, and inventory control; ensure consistent reporting and KPI delivery.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  • \n

    Compliance, Quality & Safety:<\/b>\u00a0Ensure work meets Chubb standards, customer requirements, and NZ regulatory\/industry standards; lead EHS and quality system adherence, including issue reporting\/close-out (e.g., Donesafe).<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      Excellent people management skills, including coaching, performance management, workforce planning, and driving accountability.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

      Excellent time management and prioritisation skills, with the ability to manage competing demands in a fast-paced operational environment.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

      Strong commercial acumen with full P&L ownership (budgeting, forecasting, margin protection, cost control).<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    • \n

      Ability to translate strategy into clear operational plans and measurable outcomes.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    • \n

      Strong stakeholder and executive-level customer relationship management skills.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    • \n

      Service operations leadership experience across multi-site or national environments.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    • \n

      Process improvement mindset with ability to implement and sustain standard work.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    • \n

      Strong negotiation and contract management capability.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    • \n

      Must be able to obtain and maintain required security clearances\/licences relevant to customer sites and regulatory requirements, regardless of prior industry background.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
